Al Moez Ldin Allah Al Fatmi

Al-Moez Ldin Allah Al-Fatimi was the fourth Caliph of the Fatimid Caliphate and one of its most prominent rulers. Born in 932, he ascended to the throne in 953. He is considered the founder of modern-day Cairo, as he established the city in 969 to serve as the capital of the Fatimid Caliphate, naming it "Al-Qahirah Al-Moez" in his honor.

During his reign, Al-Moez transformed Cairo into a thriving center for knowledge, culture, and art. He oversaw the construction of many significant architectural landmarks, including:

Al-Moez Street: One of the oldest and most historically important streets in Cairo, stretching from Bab Al-Futuh in the north to Bab Zuweila in the south. The street is home to many prominent Islamic landmarks, including the Al-Hakim Mosque and the Aqmar Mosque.
Al-Azhar Mosque: Founded by Al-Moez in 970, Al-Azhar became one of the oldest and most important Islamic universities in the world, serving as a center for both religious and scholarly learning.
Cultural Legacy
Al-Moez was known for his religious tolerance and his support for science and the arts. He worked to establish Cairo as a major intellectual and cultural hub in the Islamic world. He is also credited with inventing the first internal ink pen in 953, designed to prevent ink from staining hands or clothes.

His Death and Legacy
Al-Moez passed away in 975, leaving behind a rich architectural and cultural legacy. His reign is considered one of the golden periods of the Fatimid Caliphate, marked by prosperity and development in various fields.
